Ruzcel Beltran has come a long way. Mendira first met this shy teenager in April 2020, who managed to reinvent himself with boundless enthusiasm. Now, his presence is becoming constant on social media and slowly making a name as an engaging artist.
This solo artist, songwriter, and vlogger from Dinalupihan, Bataan is taking his craft seriously. His genre are country/blues, experimental music, love song, and pinoy acoustic rock.
Ruzcel sets his eyes on composing more songs and has already released ‘Liwanag Ng Buwan’, ‘Be My Only One’, and ‘Landas’. While ‘Gumugulong Isipan’ is set for launch any time now.
Ruzcel started strumming the guitar in 2011. In 2012, I began to play seriously.”
“My career started in 2014 when I was still in a band called ‘Unknown’ as bahista.
“Then in 2015 ang first gig namin.
In 2016, Ruzcel auditioned for a noontime show contest. “I tried to join Eat Bulaga’s Music Hero. I was a fingerstyle guitarist that time. But the chance was not for me. So, sabi ko sa sarili ko – ‘that’s life’.”
From there, Ruzcel had series of exciting gigs by joining other bands, including one in school.
He also joined a contest called PGT (Pentor Got Talent) and landed as among the top contestants.
In 2019, he had a short-lived reunion with his former band, now known as ‘Project D’. But in his heart, he wanted to go solo.
He was referring to the exclusive vlog he did for Mendira that gained 8.2 thousand views, and a recent online gig with Musikang Lokal with 525 views.
Ruzcel is also collaborating with other amazing artists and YouTubers as part of the online Quaranteam Band – Haruki Matsuo, Ian Joshua, Joseph Bernardino, Ash Tone. Plus mentorship from veteran musician Vhojieson Ajel and advice from Mendira Founder VP Ragus.
His advice to aspiring artists is to take things positively.
Kaya huwag madaliin. Take things slowly. And prayer is the best key.
His message for Mendira Media: “Taos-puso po akong nagpapasalamat sa Mendira. More power to all of you.”
Today, Ruzcel is kept busy with various activities. “I have a YouTube channel called Ruzcel’s TV Vlogs. I’m doing music covers and also creating my own songs.
Ruzcel never fails to amaze us every single day. We get to see the progress of his career, making us contented that this young artist is focused on making his dreams come true. More success!
