The song “Bagong Mundo” comes at the time when the pandemic is at its worst and hitting the world. It is a song of hope and new beginnings.
“Bagong Mundo” is given a powerful rendition by one of the country’s best female vocals, Bituin Escalante – a veteran in pop music and theater. Bituin has won several ALIW Awards over the years as Best Perfomer.
The song is a masterpiece by musical director and session musician Gino Cruz. A respected and award winning musician, having played keyboards for Gary Valenciano, Sampaguita, and Rage, among other various artists and bands. He is also a musical director who has worked with Charice, Toni Gonzaga, Jan Nieto, Harry Santos and Gian Magdangal.
Gino is an arranger at LoudBox Studios, a media and music production studio which amplifies stories from the world’s leading brands and advertising agencies with their award-winning audio post production, sound design, original music composition, and music arrangements.
According to Gino, producing the song during this pandemic was a challenge. All back-ups were recorded by the singers themselves. Roy and Lissa Del Valle recorded their parts at their studio, Roar Audio. TR Reynes recorded from home in Pampanga. Veteran bass player Bobby Taylo also recorded his parts at his home. While Bituin paid a visit to Gino’s home studio for her vocal recording. Gino put it all together at home for the final product. “Bagong Mundo” is distributed by Believe.
